As the mountains turn white once again, excitement is building for another unforgettable winter in Niseko United. From upgraded lifts and unique nighttime adventures to new dining experiences and one of the world’s most exciting freestyle events, the 2025-26 season promises plenty of reasons to visit

This winter, Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU unveils its brand-new high-speed, heated, six-seater lift – a major upgrade designed to boost comfort and reduce congestion on the slopes. Replacing the former King Quad Lift #3, this new lift increases capacity by up to 600 additional passengers per hour, helping more guests reach the mid-mountain area with ease.

A new restaurant, NEST813 is opening this December, on the second floor of the Ace Gondola summits station, offering one of the best Mt. Yotei views. Visitors can look forward to a stunning terrace that feels as though it extends into the mountain vista, an open kitchen alive with the energy of live cooking, and an island-style bar counter perfect for relaxed après-café time.

Opening December 20, 2025 next to the Hirafu Welcome Center, Alpen Node will introduce a new hub featuring a restaurant, taproom, shop, and DJ booth – ideal for lunch, après-ski, or evening drinks. Powderhood Restaurant & Taproom inside Alpen Node offers spacious dining and a casual bar area, with service from midday to the night. Alpen Node will also debut Hirafu’s first craft brewery, set to begin production in February 2026, with freshly brewed beer served directly in the restaurant.

Spring in Niseko is about to get even more exciting. Here’s another reason to visit Niseko in spring – the iconic European Swatch Nines freestyle event will arrive at Grand Hirafu in April 2026 – the event’s first time in Asia. Swatch Nines is not a traditional judged competition – it’s more like one huge “expression session” featuring giant, one-of-a-kind jumps and sculpted snow shapes designed specifically for the Nines. The world’s best riders will come together to experiment, film and push the boundaries of creativity and progression. Expect jaw-dropping tricks, stunning visuals, and an unforgettable festival atmosphere.

As evening falls, the Hanazono bowl transforms into a vibrant world of color and music, offering a thrilling Night Snow Tubing ride down illuminated lanes under the stars. Perfect for families, couples, or anyone looking to add a bit of sparkle to their stay. For more excitement, explore the resort’s forests on a Night Snow Cruising snowmobile tour.

Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono unveils Krug Igloo Privé, a private igloo dining experience created in partnership with Krug Champagne. Set within the hotel’s snow-covered event village, guests begin with a fireside champagne welcome before stepping into a warm, alpine-inspired dome that seats up to 14. Inside, guests enjoy a seasonal Hokkaido-focused menu paired with Krug Champagne, with a choice of French, Japanese, or Chinese courses.
Visit the Park Hyatt Niseko Hanazono official website for more information.
Niseko Village is turning up the glamour this winter with its new Snow Garden, featuring a Moët & Chandon Bar, elegant winter décor, and exclusive merchandise. It’s the perfect spot to toast your powder day, relax with friends, and enjoy the stylish side of Niseko’s après-ski scene.

For those who prefer a quieter, more laid-back experience, Niseko Annupuri continues to deliver its signature charm. Wide open runs, and a peaceful atmosphere. No major additions this season, just pure, classic Niseko riding at its best.
From new high-speed lifts to glowing tube runs and luxury igloos, this season brings new ways to experience Niseko. Whether it’s your first visit or your fifteenth, the 2025-26 winter at Niseko United is set to inspire fresh stories, new memories.
