Niseko’s snow is often referred to as ‘champagne powder’ so it seems only fitting that Veuve Clicquot has chosen Niseko as the location for Japan’s first “Veuve Clicquot in the Snow” pop-up event.
A celebration of some of the finer things in life – Veuve Clicquot and apres ski – the stylish seasonal event has been adding lustre to ski resorts all around the globe since its inception in Aspen in 2007.
Niseko United is one of Japan’s premier international ski resorts and is proud to host Japan’s first In the Snow between 1-10 March 2019 at cafés and restaurants in the resort area. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy the luxury champagnes, including their flagship Yellow Label product, in two chic locations – Restaurant & Cafe Tanta An, located at the gondola station in the middle of the slopes in Niseko Grand Hirafu, and Restaurant Asperges Hanazono. Both venues will embrace the theme of the event, which is “Hygge” – a Danish cultural concept and value of warm, happy coziness and togetherness.
The pop-up lounge at Tanta An will run from 1-10 March. Visitors to the lounge can savour a glass or bottle of Yellow/Rose Labels on the terrace or in the restaurant, with special set menus and Veuve Clicquot Special Gondola Wrapping also available.
For those who want to experience Michelin-star dining at Hanazono, come and experience Restaurant Asperges’ world of gastronomy with Veuve Clicquot’s styling and decoration, accompanied by glasses of beautiful bubbles. Veuve Cliquot champagne can be served by the glass – ask the restaurant for pairing suggestions with food. This special event at Restaurant Asperges will run from 2-10 March for lunch and dinner daily (please note the restaurant will be closed 7 March for a regular holiday, and March 8 for a private event).
For more details on the Hanazono event, please see the Restaurant Asperges website.
