One of Niseko’s biggest draw cards is its dining scene – from Michelin-starred restaurants to cosy, family-owned eateries, this winter wonderland is filled with a variety of exciting dining opportunities. Here are a few pointers to help you make the most out of your gourmet adventures in Niseko.
Especially during peak season, popular restaurants can be fully booked months in advance. For those planning to travel around Christmas, New Year or Lunar Year and wanting to dine at popular restaurants, reserving well in advance is essential.
If you didn’t book early we recommend you be a little adventurous and explore beyond the resort area. All across the greater Niseko area you’ll find cozy, local restaurants that may pleasantly surprise you – some of the best dining experiences are hidden gems away from the resorts. Booking taxis can be difficult too, so be sure to organise your transport in advance.

Niseko Tourism’s WINE & DINE guide is a great resource to explore. You can visit their website here or pick up a printed pocket booklet upon your arrival in Niseko. For restaurants that offer online booking, the WINE & DINE website provides a directory to reservation pages, simplifying your booking experience.

Food trucks parked all around Niseko also offer some amazing casual dining options! From Japanese cuisine to your favorite international dishes, there’s a wide variety of foods to choose from. Whether you want a quick break from skiing, a casual, reasonably priced snack, or simply wish to avoid the hassle of waiting in a crowded restaurant, food trucks are the great option.
There has been an increase in high-end catering businesses that come directly to your villa or apartment in Niseko. For those seeking a private, luxurious experience, this may be a good option for you.
Here’s a quick guide to some of the dining options at all four Niseko United Resorts:
This year a whole new world of gastronomy and nightlife opens at Niseko Village with Niseko-yo. Niseko-yo has doubled Niseko Village’s F&B offerings in and around its Japanese Edo-era-style retail and dining precinct and hotels. Here are a few highlights we recommend you to check out:

Niseko Tokyu Grand HIRAFU, being the largest ski resort in Niseko, is the main restaurant and dining hub in the area, filled with a variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. Here are a few recommendations:
Since Park Hyatt arrived in Niseko in 2020, the Hanazono area now boasts incredibly high-quality dining options. Here are a few recommendations:

Among all the resorts, Niseko Annupuri International Ski Area is the closest to a traditional Japanese ski resort, offering a more laid-back atmosphere. As a result, this area is home to many charming small restaurants in addition to the spacious food court style at the bottom of the slope. Here is a list of recommended places you can visit:
