Yoshi sends off 2018/19 in style – Video: @jimi_yuki_oertli / Yoshi: @EvanWilcox

After almost six months of skiing, snowboarding and good times, winter 2018/19 the season has finally come to a close.

Hirafu and Annupuri remained open right through until official close date today with just the top part of the mountain operational in the final weeks.

Up high there is still quite a lot of snow base and the Hirafu spring park was still in full swing right up until today.

However with the snow base dwindling back faster with every warmer day it’s time to put a lid on the season.

We had an average season by Niseko standards, but we still received a massive amount of snowfall with the official snowfall tally ending up at 14.45m at 1000m at Grand Hirafu – an extra 15cm falling since our premature season wrap.

An amazingly sunny spring showcasing the spectacular Mt Yotei and surrounding views put an exclamation mark on the season.

We’d like to thank everyone who visited Niseko United this season, and hope to see you again soon – be that next winter or when we fire up the lifts again for summer and all our other seasonal wonders awake in a few weeks time.

We are planning to open on November 23, 2019 for the 2019-20 snow season – we’re already taking bookings so get planning now to make the most of early-bird deals!
